The most obvious characteristics of these comical figures are that they all have extremely long and unnaturally thin arms and legs.
It goes without saying that in a world where the inhabitant's limbs are a bit out of proportion, so must some of the everyday items that they use or interact with.
That's where the fun really starts, because sketching a really skinny guy on a really skinny-looking scooter, for example, is just so freeing, as there are no boundaries and no wrong or right way to sketch such a scene—just so long as everyone and everything is in proportion to each other.
I often sketch these quirky dwellers of my imagination for Instagram challenges or for prompts during the Inktober challenges; however, I don't limit myself to these quests.
Every now and then I'll add one to my ongoing project, much to the delight of many of my Instagram followers who always leave positive feedback on my Skinnies.
